Gas Pipeline Ecological Surveys Central Qld

As part of a major gas infrastructure project, Biodiverse Environmental was engaged to undertake ecological surveys as part of the Environmental Authority (EA) for the project at various locations in central Queensland.

Our ‘suitably qualified’ principal ecologist undertook desktop analysis on regional ecosystem mapping, Prescribed Environmental Matters and ecological other values.  The sites were then surveyed where there was to be significant disturbance by conducting flora and fauna assessments, waterway investigations and determining the presence of weeds and pest animals.

Where environmental values differed from mapped values, methodology was written to account for these.

Biodiverse Environmental also assisted with the supply of fauna spotter catchers for the fauna management during clearing works.
